Healing Through My Ink Inc.

Registered nurse since 2007.

I was born in 1984 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, and raised in Larder Lake.

I went to nursing school and joined the infantry as a Reservist at twenty. During a Military Skills competition, I fell twenty feet in full wet gear and never fully recovered. More than a dozen surgeries later: a degenerating spine and a body running on chemical fumes. I became a Registered Nurse in 2007—not because I chose it, but because my father demanded it. I spent almost two decades absorbing everyone else’s pain while having absolutely no idea what to do with my own.

Burnt out three times. My abuser died in November 2025, and I almost went with him. What followed was another near-death, a flight to Costa Rica, and four nights with ayahuasca doing what decades of therapy and medication couldn’t touch. I came home as someone I didn’t recognize yet.

I’m not a guru. I am not fully healed. I’m just on the other side of the worst of it. No longer a victim. I stand my ground with the Dragon heads—still writing anyway.

I am a Life Path 33—the Master Teacher, the wounded healer archetype.

Dad’s Dead… Now What? is my first book, looking beyond the wreckage and introducing a trilogy that dives straight into what this book only points at. I live in Ontario, Canada, with my twin flame—my wife—our two children, and two cats.

Why Healing Through My Ink Exists

Healing Through My Ink Inc. takes its name from something that started decades before a book ever existed. From childhood straight through adulthood, I doodled—aimless lines with no rhyme or reason. Over time, those marks grew more detailed, more abstract. Eventually, I realized that whenever I put pen to paper without forcing meaning onto it, my mind finally shut up. No reels. No noise. Just lines. It was the first real reprieve I ever found on my own, long before anyone attached a clinical label to it. The art throughout this book is that exact same practice—still doing the exact same job.
